The Cycling for Well-being program is ongoing and we are taking bookings for March sessions. As a ‘formally organised mutual aid/ support group’ this is one of the few in-person activities running during lock-down under the government COVID guidelines.
Designed to give anxious or socially isolated participants the opportunity for regular social interaction whilst also providing physical exercise in the fresh air, the program has been popular even in the very old and wet days of February! 1/3rd of our current participants are referred to us through Social Prescribing or by other health professionals.
A reminder that the program is:
• FREE to attend (bikes are available to borrow)
• For Adults who can already ride a short distance on their own (alternative bikes are available for non-balancers)
• Open to anyone with a mental or physical health issue, or those impacted by health inequalities in Hackney, Waltham Forest, Newham and Tower Hamlets.
